WE PREPARE OUR PATIENTS IN 8 STEPS FOR OBESITY SURGERY

WE PREPARE OUR PATIENTS FOR OBESITY SURGERY IN 8 STEPS

Obesity should be considered as a disease with a very different negative course. For this reason, it is necessary to carry out a very meticulous and detailed examination both when deciding on surgery and when preparing for surgery.

1) GENERAL SURGERY

We determine the distances required for obesity surgery by taking into account the criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO). We direct you to treatment options other than separation surgery, where there is no need for surgery or if there is a situation that prevents surgery. We provide detailed information about life suitable for surgery, surgery options and the surgery process.

2) ENDOCRINOLOGY

First of all, we investigate the general hormonal and metabolic status of the patients in detail. If there is a hormonal disorder that causes obesity in our detailed examinations, we first treat this hormonal disorder. We refer our patients who are suitable for surgery and cannot lose weight despite lifestyle changes to surgery.

3) DIETITIAN

We perform body weight analyzes of our patients at the time of application. We determine weight loss goals by determining nutritional abilities. By determining the surgical regimen, we provide information about the diet and dietitian control for at least 2 years after the surgery.

4) PSYCHIATRY

By examining the behavioral and psychological causes of obesity, we read whether there is a psychiatric disease that will negatively affect recovery and the decision-making process regarding surgery. If the patient's psychological state is detected to be an obstacle to surgery, we treat it first.

5) GASTROENTEROLOGY

We examine the patient's esophagus, stomach and duodenum endoscopically to determine whether there is a condition that may prevent the surgery (ulcer, tumor, etc.) or change the type of surgery (hiatal hernia). We take an instant tissue sample and examine it.

6) RADIOLOGY

We examine the entire abdomen with ultrasonography and detect a condition that may prevent surgery and report it. We also perform breast ultrasound aimed at screening women over the age of 40.

7) ANESTHESIA SPECIALIST

We evaluate patients for surgery and anesthesia. We provide consultancy services on the body's lung and heart rhythm policy, cardiology and chest diseases. We inform patients about the anesthesia process.

8) GENERAL SURGERY

We determine the surgery day by reviewing all the examinations of the patients. The procedure is explained to the patient again and payments for the surgery are collected from the patient.
